About Me

I received my master’s in social work from the University of Chicago in 2015 and my LICSW credential in 2018.

I provide individual therapy for adults, gender affirming surgery letters, and clinical supervision for social workers.

My Approach

As a student of political science, I see our lives as socially constructed and historically mediated. Especially in challenging times, we all deeply deserve lives where we feel safe, build community, and thrive in interpersonal growth. Learning about the systems that impact us helps us to more clearly attune to our own intuition; understanding ourselves lets us leave room for choices to align our values and decisions. If you have an interest in learning about yourself from multiple historical and interpersonal relational lenses, we might enjoy working together.

My work is relationally based and supports adults of any age moving through life transitions. In particular, I support those who have melded their professional and personal life paths and may be navigating identity, grief, burnout, and sustainability in helping professions. My clinical background pulls from various eclectic modalities, such as DBT and ACT, Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping), polyvagal theory, and somatic practices. I have additional training in caring for those who are grieving, dying, and making medical decisions around end of life care.

As a queer person, I am glad to work for my extended queer community looking for a therapist with some overlapping identities. In my spare time, I am a martial artist studying mixed striking martial arts, qigong, and taichi for over a decade.

Individual Therapy

  • I offer 50-minute sessions for adults.
  • Current rate: $150 a session
  • I can provide a superbill as an out of network provider, and I also accept sliding scale pricing.

Mental Health Professional Letters

  • I can provide mental health professional letters for gender affirming surgeries that require a professional evaluation.
  • Current rate: $100 per letter, sliding scale available as needed
  • Additional support for case management and insurance appeal also available
  • I follow the Informed Consent for Access to Trans Health Care model of care.
  • This means that I personally do not believe that transgender people should have to meet with a therapist or mental health professional for evaluation, diagnosis, or approval for gender affirming care. However, if you require approval from your insurance, I am glad to provide this service for our queer community.
